It was no doubt a time of celebration for the city's defenders.  The boisterous, bubbly, and somewhat bungling Demon Lord Belial, threat to all that was good and decent in the world, had been handed the kind of defeat that would leave her licking her metaphorical wounds for quite some time.  Hopes and dreams had triumphed over perverted wickedness, and no doubt all those dutiful magic girls could turn their attention back to their normal lives and concerns and not battling a scantily-clad demon who'd made passes at all of them at one point or another.

... Of course, if there was one thing that could be said about Belial, it was that she was smart enough to take advantage of people who thought she was a complete idiot.  And running long cons?  Oh those sucked sometimes but the rewards were usually well worth it, and this time they TOTALLY would be!

And today was just the first step of the last phase of Belial's grand plan, a smug grin of certainty on Belial's face as she strolled through the front doors of one particular school... not as an aggressor but merely a substitute teacher, her blue skin concealed with a rather simple spell.  It'd certainly taken some work to get all of this set up, but then again... that's what her distraction efforts had been for.

And so-

"Hello hello!"

With a cheery wave she waltzed in to the appropriate classroom, eyes sweeping across the desks to confirm that yes, her mark was present.  "I'm Ms. Elle, here to be your substitute for the next week-ish or so.  It's a pleasure to meet all of you!"

Some magic girls had it easy.  Supportive families, loyal friends, sympathetic enemies who didn't have their heart really in the domination of humanity, convenient power-ups or reinforcements whenever things were getting dire...

The heroines of this city however, had a much, much rougher go of it.  Well-rehearsed plans failed far more often than they had any right to, with individuals or even entire families abducted by the antagonistic demons for whatever nefarious goals they had in mind, never to be seen again.  Many times the demons' plans were discovered only after their completion, treating the symptoms rather than the disease.

Oh, Belial had nothing but sympathy for those poor girls... because the game had been rigged even before the start.  Whatever cosmic force had vetted who would be the defenders of truth and justice in the city obviously hadn't done a very good job of it, with one of the select few having been none other than Belial's own beloved child.

And that made things waaaaaaaay easier for the self-declared Demon Lord!  Oh before she'd had to think of all sorts of schemes to try to figure things out, when now it was just a simple matter of having her daughter infiltrate human society and report back any important details, all while being discreet enough to not tip off any of her poor, unsuspecting "friends".

Another school week was fast coming to a close too, Belial happily lounging on her throne, daydreaming about all the naughty things she'd do with her daughter in between discussing what their next move would be.

Wouldn't she be surprised by what her daughter would bring in this time though...
